Korean Ground Beef and Rice

Ready in 15 minutes, serves 4


· 1 lb ground beef

· 3 garlic cloves

· ¼ cup packed brown sugar

· ½ cup soy sauce

· 2 tsp sesame oil

· ½ tsp ground ginger

· ¼ tsp crushed red pepper

· ½ tsp pepper

· 2 cups cooked white or brown rice

· Sliced onions and sesame seeds


1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and garlic.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, red pepper flakes, and pepper.

3. Pour mixture over ground beef and simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Serve over hot rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
