The best beef ever- as it always is!

If you're considering ordering beef from The Herd 5C, please read this review. I've been a customer for several years now and won't buy beef anywhere else. In the years I've been ordering, I don't recall the price ever changing. The Rancher Box comes out to around $11.00/lb, which is actually the same or less than 2025 grocery store prices. But if it wasn't?? I would still buy it. This is an outstanding family ranching business that has their own processing plant, thereby bypassing the "big 4" monopoly that controls the pricing and profit margin of most beef produced in the US, usually at the expense of the grower. But the best part is the quality of the beef. It's raised, finished, dry aged, and processed right on the ranch. Each package (including the ground beef) is assigned a number or code so that it can be traced back to a single animal. You simply cannot purchase beef like this in a grocery store. The Rancher Box is perfect for 2. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed, and you'll be supporting a family business!!

I am very happy with the product so far. I’m looking forward to continue trying the various cuts of meat in my order. The delivery was great, the meat was still completely frozen.
